DoD CDAO AI Talent 2.0 - Basic Ordering Agreement

ASSYST is the prime contract holder for the DoD AI Talent 2.0 Basic Ordering Agreement (BOA). This flexible contract vehicle enables rapid acquisition of industry-leading AI-related technical and program management support services. 

The BOA is designed to meet the evolving needs of cross-functional DoD AI teams. It supports advisory and assistance services (A&AS) across key areas such as Agile development, cyber analytics, integration, DevSecOps, systems engineering, and AI model operations. The agreement allows all DoD components to quickly onboard qualified contractor talent to advance AI readiness, workforce development, and mission effectiveness.

AI Talent 2.0 BOA Task Descriptions:

  • Agile Development – Provide subject matter expertise to support iterative development through adaptive planning and continuous improvement.
  • Cyber Analytics – Apply analytics to detect meaningful anomalies and support cyber auditing, security, and administration.
  • Cybersecurity – Manage and maintain secure networks, systems, and applications across the DCO infrastructure.
  • Cybersecurity Risk Management – Support risk assessment and mitigation related to data use, storage, processing, and transmission.
  • Integration – Engineer and integrate systems, subsystems, and applications for interoperability and system-of-systems capabilities.
  • Security/Development/Operations (Sec/Dev/Ops) – Embed automated security testing and practices throughout the development lifecycle.
  • Systems Engineering – Design and manage complex systems, databases, and infrastructure over the full lifecycle.
  • Systems Maintenance and Sustainment – Provide corrective and preventative maintenance to ensure system performance and reliability.
  • System Security Engineering – Integrate protection measures into products and systems to mitigate vulnerabilities throughout the lifecycle.
  • ML Model Development, MLOps, and Applied Data Science – Deliver ML models from concept to deployment, integrating data science best practices.
  • Testing – Support test planning, execution, and evaluation to validate system design, performance, and operational readiness.
  • Administration/Operations – Execute daily operational tasks, including scheduling, reporting, documentation, and data management.
  • Graphics – Create compelling visual content to inform and engage technical and leadership audiences.
  • Logistics – Manage the flow of assets and resources from origin to delivery, including lifecycle and asset tracking.
  • Project Management – Guide planning, modernization, and performance monitoring across the project lifecycle.
  • Training – Design and deliver customized training and educational programs across diverse formats and venues.
