    ASSYST was recently chosen by Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) to create a user friendly, web-based Digital Tool that connects to critical databases and provides the ability to quickly perform complex analytics on quantitative and qualitative country data resulting in meaningful and well-designed visual dashboards and reports. A part of IDB’s open data initiative, Numbers for Development, the new Digital Tool will empower public policy makers to make more informed decisions with regard to labor markets and social security in Latin American and Caribbean countries. It will help governments and other stakeholders to quickly and easily identify bottlenecks and to quantify gaps or unbalanced resources in the region. Areas of interest include human, physical and financial resources as well as each country’s ability or capacity to manage these resources.

The program’s objective is to finance activities in sustainable logistics that will benefit low income developing countries. ASSYST’s Knowledge Management solution offers pre-built thematic areas, templates and a use case library to guide strategy and process. It will also provide user personalization, and easy integration of features such as mobile, social, contextual relevance, big data, data visualization, and analytics. Through this initiative, IFC will be able to consolidate several internal and external knowledge assets into a virtual portal to be supported by a global network of practitioners, academia and business professionals at the forefront of sustainable logistics.

The client needed a solution that would help identify instances where patients were overcharged for prescription medication and the government billed for payment. The aim was to end the illegal overcharges and ensure patients could get medicine at a fair price while saving taxpayer dollars. ASSYST’s user friendly data analytics platform creates an easily accessible and flexible data repository and complex qquery tool for handling the firm’s large volume of data from external sources. The system has an innovative Data Reporting and Visualization component with the option to collaborate and share results across multiple formats and device form factors. ASSYST used an Agile based rapid application development model to build and deploy the solution.

    Competing with other DIOMDS prime vendors, ASSYST won a contract to provide full life cycle software development services for the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), Office of Information Technology (OIT) and the Division of Economic Research and Analysis (DERA). DERA serves the critical function of promoting collaborative efforts throughout the agency and breaking through information silos that might otherwise limit the impact of the Commission’s institutional expertise. Charged with this objective, DERA was seeking a better way to analyze and make sense of massive amounts of data to identify potential market irregularities, trends, etc. Leveraging the SEC’s Enterprise Architecture and the company’s expertise in Extensible Business Reporting Language (XBRL), ASSYST is developing a flexible solution that directly addresses this challenge and will enhance critical data accessibility and visibility throughout the Commission.

    ASSYST has won a contract to support the Electronic Data Gathering, Analysis, and Retrieval system (EDGAR) at the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC). The project scope includes providing systems development and engineering services, the development of new functionality and software bug fixes, as well as Program Management (PM) and Configuration Management (CM) services.  EDGAR is a massive IT system developed to automate the filing, processing, and dissemination of over 2 million submissions each year. ASSYST will provide new technologies and development of new products and services to respond to the needs of EDGAR users.

    ASSYST was recently awarded a contract by a leading multilateral development bank to design, development, and implement an Online Knowledge Platform (KP) on Environmentally Sustainable Infrastructure Construction in Latin America and the Caribbean (LAC).  The goal of the Knowledge Platform is to help strengthen and advance sustainable infrastructure construction in Latin America and the Caribbean by creating a gateway for sharing information, knowledge, experiences and best practices among relevant stakeholders. Once operational, the Knowledge Platform will bring together Government Agencies, Construction Companies, Business Consulting and Engineering Firms, Universities and Innovation Centers, Non Governmental Organizations and Foundations. 

     

    ASSYST’s project team consisting of Knowledge Management SME's, Solution Architects, User Experience Specialists and bi-lingual (Spanish and English) IT Professionals will participate in the project.  The solution will be developed on ASSYST's Knowledge Management Solution Framework utilizing Open Source technology,  and will be hosted in a Cloud environment.
